Pirani vacuum gauge is a vacuum gauge that utilizes transport phenomenon (thermal conduction) of gases.

Inside the vacuum gauge, a filament built into the electrical circuit is heated. When gas molecules collide with the filament, they remove heat from the filament. Convert that temperature change to pressure.
