World's Largest Cryopump ( 52" type ) starts operation at the satellite equipment test site
The world's largest 52" type cryopump (Diameter: 1.5 m) of ULVAC was adopted for the main exhaust to create a vacuum in the satellite testing equipment (6mΦ Radiometer Chamber: Manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd.) at the Tsukuba Center of National Space Development Agency of Japan, and 4 cryopumps were manufactured and delivered.
