Fundamentals of Vacuum Pumps (Low to Medium Vacuum)

Single-Stage Oil Rotary Pump vs. Double-Stage, What is different?

Oil Rotary Pump has 2 types, Single-Stage and Double-Stage. Do you know What exactly they are?

Single-Stage A pump has one pair of rotors, cylinders, and sliding blades.
Double-Stage A pump has two pairs of rotors, cylinders, and sliding blades in series. The compression ratio is larger, and that pressure is lower.

Even triple or more stages type is not available to lessen pressure on the double-stage types due to the pipe resistance (or conductance) and the vapor pressure of vacuum pump oil.
